A new plaque commemorating next weekend’s 75th Australian Grand Prix Anniversary celebrations will be unveiled during the official opening ceremony on Saturday.
Sprints organisers hope to eventually have it mounted permanently near the start line in Macintyre Street. It will “bookend” the course, matching a similar plaque located near the finish line that marks the 10th anniversary of the Sprints founding.
