Little MGs Are Genuine Grand Prix Stars

June 25,  2024

Darling Downs historic racer and collector Colin Schiller is bringing two 1939-built MG TB Specials, one driven on 18 September 1949 by Peter Critchley and the other by John Nind (pictured). Critchley finished fourth but Nind retired with engine failure.

These beautifully-maintained treasures have competed at several Sprints events and are true crowd-pleasers.

How wonderful that these cars will be present as a tangible link between the Sprints and the Australian Grand Prix, says Sprints President Tricia Chant.

“It’s extraordinary that these cars still even exist, as many grand prix entrants didn’t survive the era. Anyone who loves old racing cars should not miss these MG’s.”
