Featuring celebrations for the 75th anniversary of the 1949 Leyburn Australian Grand Prix, this is going to be the biggest and best weekend of grassroots historic motorsport Queensland has ever seen.
Here’s what you can see and do
- See 240 historic, classic and performance cars contest time trials around the closed streets of Leyburn over two days. Non-stop action with great spectating around the track.
- Meet VIP motorsport legends Warwick Brown, Dick Johnson, John Bowe, Bruce Allison, Charlie O’Brien, Ron Harrop and Brian Gelding at daily autograph sessions.
- See a special display of cars that contested the 1949 Australian Grand Prix, plus “modern” Ralts from the 1981 Australian Grand Prix
- Get close-up to a genuine 220 mile an hour IRL car from the 1999 Indianapolis 500.
- Indulge in nostalgia at the fascinating Vintage Vans display.
- Be dazzled by 60+ entries in Sunday’s Show ‘n’ Shine.
- Buy marvellous motorsport memorabilia in Saturday night’s charity auction, including genuine Dick Johnson Racing Mustang Supercar panels.
